Accreditation Administration System:
High tensile strength steel plate and sheet A514 Grade Q and A514 Grade R owned 760-895 Mpa tensile strength and minimum 690 Mpa yield strength for the thickness belows 5/2 inch,it is about 65 millimeter.These two steel grades A514 Grade Q,steel Grade A514 Grade R both shall be done Quenched and Tempered heat treatment by heating to not less than 900 centi degree,quenching in water or oil and tempering at not less than 620 centi degree.And the heat treating temperatures would be reported on our Mill test certifictes.
Comparing with steel sheet A514 Grade Q and sheet A514 Grade R,for the chemical composition,steel sheet A514 Grade Q contains Chromium 1.00-1.50 %,and steel plates A514 Grade R just contains 0.35-0.65%.So A514 Grade Q definately would bear higher weathering resistance and other environmental corrosion when using in structral bodies.
